As one of the founding master teachers at the 2001 opening of the Center for Statewide E-Learning, Joanna Goetz (Se?ora Goetz) has been helping the best and brightest students of the state of South Dakota acquire Spanish language skills and cultural awareness. The multicultural, blended and digital world in which students will live, thrive and lead requires an understanding and appreciation of other cultures and languages.
Se?ora Goetz’s instructional experience includes face-to-face classroom, live digital interaction and asynchronous online environments with students from middle school through university. Ms. Goetz has witnessed the huge role technology has played in the ever-changing field of education. The e-learning center helps reach students who cannot receive college-preparatory or advanced placement classes. South Dakota is blessed with honest, intelligent, deserving and hard-working youth who, by seeking opportunities, can achieve great things.
In her spare time, Se?ora Goetz enjoys spending time with her family (husband - Dan and children - Ethan, Olivia and Gabriel), watching sporting events, traveling, reading, playing the piano and listening to all kinds of music.
